The local community in Point Clare created a community garden to allow for local residents to learn how to responsibly produce vegetables together! I think it would be a great idea to get locals to come in to schools and show students how to do the same. #UoNTeach

Such a great hands-on activity. DeMink-Carthew et al (2020) praised hands-on learning stating it helps teachers find the balance between teacher-directed/student-directed learning as it allows for deeper personalisation of tasks. Definitely would love to use this idea!

Local area, Maitland, has a 'Community Garden Policy' outlining criteria to be met to open a sustainable garden. I would love my students to communicate with council about what is described in the policy as a part of a research assignment. #UoNTeach https://t.co/Mbxh5Sonki

@MissDJ54795813 #Studyladder is my go-to teaching resource. They even have a 'Managing Waste Responsibly' section across mixed years which I will be having a look into to include in my unit! Although I wish they had a specific resource that catered for #SDG12.
