How can teachers realistically support "the whole child" when we don't have enough funding for social workers, psychologists, special education teachers, and related service providers in our schools?
As noted, this will be a critical budget cycle for our Providence Public Schools considering the amount of federal emergency funds set to expire.

@PTU958@ptu95teacher2 Soliciting much…what is wrong about this is that a public school system is actively recruiting for a private charter system. Not just that, parents are only given the choice for one charter which begs the question, what is the interest behind this particular charter?

As a taxpayer in Providence, I am wondering what happened to the approved bond $ from the 2018 election earmarked for school improvements?@pvdcitycouncil@PVDMayor@pvdschools
In the 2022 election, we approved another bond for the same purpose of school improvements. Yet, we’re closing public schools and no mention of building new ones. Where’s the $?

@theDRAMAgoat1 Not in Rhode Island. I mean rent alone, yes. But not the other expenses that typically come with living on your own like food, car payment, insurance, gas, heat, electricity, phone, and internet - all pretty much necessities.
So happy for this wonderful teacher! Mrs. Taveras earned a badge for the best practice of Small Group Instruction in her class. She also shared she passed her Praxis!!! So proud of her and honored to be your coach! @Lima_FortesES@pvdschools@engage_learning@LucyElizondo123
