Over the weekend, @Zamara_fdn was in Kilifi with the @Sida team for a grounding and honest conversation with teen and young mothers on the realities shaping their reproductive health and choices.
From navigating family planning gaps to unpacking cultural expectations placed on girls and young women, the session created space for reflection, shared experiences, and collective learning.
The conversations were candid, necessary, and deeply affirming, a reminder that young women in all their diversity, already hold the knowledge, resilience, and clarity needed to shape their own futures when given space to speak and be heard.

"We must confront a difficult truth: women are leaving journalism not because they lack talent or ambition, but because the environment is not enabling them to stay and thrive.
Add to this online gender-based violence—trolling, threats, intimidation—and we are witnessing a systematic push of women out of public journalism spaces."
