@MartinSLewis my other half was refused at check in by TUI to travel to Cyprus as his passport was issued March 2012. We have not seen these rules anywhere and sounds like no one we know has either. Are we entitled to compensation as we had to miss our flights and cancel holiday?

@TUIUK to add to this, when we checked in online at no point did it state anything about issue date! He has 7 months left on his passport. We have spoken to a lot of people who seem to have no idea of these rules. This is unacceptable and we want a refund for our missed holiday
