French 'land' authorities still ignore migrants trying to reach the UK. I've seen it. The Coast Guards do intervene, but that's the last line of defense.

@Boerboelguard @wardj15 Why is it then, given that the method of slaughter is not a religious requirement, that we're in a position where we have government laws on the slaughtering of animals? Halal simply means 'allowed' and would seem to only exclude pork and animals dead by natural causes.
