Hey @Trupanion if you're going to keep charging me more for my premium, use the extra money to hire real people to evaluate claims instead of AI; you continuously select the wrong amount on my claims (which are made weekly, for the same amount every week).
Every time I'm on a run in mid-city LA I bemoan the dang beg buttons - not that I don't mind a break at an intersection, but I end up waiting at green lx bc I'm not sure how much time I have to cross. Plus, honestly, it feels like it's judging my pace. ;)
Rule 75: Bag the Beg Buttons
Pedestrian push buttons often don’t work, they make walking feel 2nd-class & a survey across 3 U.S. cities found just 1 working button. Use only at midblock crossings with HAWK beacons & they should work instantly.

This is exciting! It is also worth noting, however, that CA ranks 36th in per-capita arts spending and LA County spends only $1.77 per capita (compared to $11.05 in San Diego and $33.22 per resident in SF) - so we owe this wonderful density of artists better investment!!
👏According to @SMUDataArts, Los Angeles-Long Beach-Glendale, CA proudly ranks first in the nation on measures related to our impressive concentration of independent artists and arts, culture, and entertainment firms per capita.

At a time when nonprofit theaters are still recovering from the pandemic shutdown and are looking to connect with their communities, Tarell Alvin McCraney is looking in unorthodox places: prisons, homeless shelters and the foster care system. https://t.co/Deq8Y4hgeL
I know we all want it to be Celine Dion but usually it's an athlete from the host country and also she's French-Canadian and I feel like I never learned in history class what the relationship between France and French Canada is? Would it be A SCANDALE?
Get Daft Punk to make a comeback for the finale then they fly up the Eiffel Tower and one of them takes their helmet off and it’s Celine Dion and the other one takes their helmet off and it’s also Celine Dion
If you're younger than maybe thirty years old, it's probably impossible to fully explain to you how surreal it is to see Snoop be the star of the NBC Olympics opening ceremony broadcast.
@peacock So excited you're streaming the Olympics opening ceremony! But your subtitles are woefully behind the live speaking. Hopefully this is remedied before the competition!
THANK YOU SOMEONE SAID IT. 😆I watched an ep of Loot and then switched over to the first ep of Presumed Innocent and could not believe it was the same person - I kept checking IMDB.
LA! 4th of July Lost Dog Project is live today, tomorrow, and Saturday! Please share! For dogs lost/found in City of LA only (though we have resources we can share for dogs outside city limits). #lostdog#founddog
So, I had a lil' FB rant-ish response to this, which nails the message but I think misses who the message is for.
I appreciate how this article celebrates what makes regional non-profit theaters vital to American theater, including mentioning my own employer a number of times!
McNulty says it best & simply, "nonprofits companies simply do it better."
But we don't necessarily need more artistic directors dreaming big - we've got a lot of those!
(though arguably many have been historically shut out and in more recent history, not set up for success)
