Most people picture breast milk as something simple.
White. Plain. Just food.
But this is what it looks like inside.
This is a glimpse of the inside of a breast while it is making milk.
Thousands of tiny milk making sacs, each one filling, flowing, responding in real time to a baby’s needs.
Every drop is alive.
Breast milk is not just nutrition.
It is a living, adaptive system.
It changes by the hour.
By the day.
By the age of the baby.
It adjusts for illness.
For growth spurts.
For comfort.
For survival.
Your body reads your baby’s saliva and responds with antibodies.
It knows when your baby is premature.
It knows when your baby is sick.
It knows when your baby just needs closeness.
No lab can recreate this.
No formula can copy this intelligence.
No machine can replace this connection.
This is biology at its most powerful.
This is love in liquid form.
This is the miracle happening quietly inside millions of women every single day.
And if no one has told you lately
Your body is incredible!

Just to quickly put this out there:
IF you ever see anyone having a seizure that does NOT stop within 5minutes, please lie that person down on their left side and call an ambulance ASAP.
Do NOT pour water on them.
Do NOT put anything in their mouth.
Just lie them down and call an ambulance. If no ambulance, take them to hospital in a car ASAP.
Any seizure more than 5mins;
The person’s brain and heart is under attack. If that seizure isn’t terminated, the person will die.
This is NOT a joke.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY DAY.
So, a lady came for a scan yesterday. She’s about 37 years old. She had actually come two to three weeks earlier because she tested positive on a pregnancy test, and wanted to confirm if she was truly pregnant.
On that first scan, we confirmed an early pregnancy of about 6 weeks. However, we also discovered that she had multiple fibroids, and I mean many, large fibroids. There were so many of them. Even then, I was already worried about how the pregnancy would survive with all those fibroids compressing the uterus. But there’s nothing God cannot do right?
She went home and returned three weeks later because she noticed some spotting (bleeding) and wanted to check:
if the baby was growing, if a heartbeat had started and if everything was okay
When she first came, there was no heartbeat yet, which is normal at that stage, and the fetal pole hadn’t formed clearly.
Sadly, when she came this time, the scan showed that she had miscarried.
This woman cried… she cried and cried. It was heartbreaking to watch.
From the scan findings, the likely cause of the miscarriage was the multiple fibroids. She had numerous fibroids more than 10!! and some of them were quite large. Honestly, from the first scan, I kept wondering how the pregnancy would cope with so much compression in the uterus.
There was really nothing that could be done at that point, and it just made me feel so sad for her.
This is why I keep saying it:
Women are going through a lot. A whole lot.
The number of women suffering from fibroids is really alarming.
It’s painful, it’s emotional, and it’s unfair.
Women carry so much silently. 💔

Nestlé has recalled these baby products.
So before you mix that next bottle for your baby, read this thread carefully as it concerns their well being.
If you feed your baby NAN, SMA, or Alfamino, a toxic bacteria has been found in some batches. And you might have it in your house right now.
You see, Nestlé has issued a massive global recall for several baby formulas (products in the image above) because they found a toxin called Cereulide (from Bacillus cereus bacteria) in some batches.
This toxin causes severe nausea and vomiting in babies. And the scary part is that boiling water does NOT kill it. The toxin is heat-resistant. So even if you prepare the formula correctly, if the powder itself is contaminated, your baby is at risk.
Now, NAFDAC has not released a specific alert for Nigeria yet. BUT our markets are porous. And people import ‘UK SMA’ and ‘Imported NAN’ every single day. So if you buy your formula from supermarkets that stock imported goods, or you bought it abroad, you need to check the last stock to see if your tin look like any of those products.
If yes, go to Nestle’s UK Website (SMA & Alfamino) and Nestle’s MENA Website (NAN) to verify if your batch does not fall under the recalled ones.
If your batch code matches the ones on that list, please DO NOT USE IT.
And please, don't keep this information to yourself.
If you have a friend, sister, or neighbor who uses SMA, NAN, or Alfamino, retweet this or send this to them NOW.
You might be saving a baby from poisoning today.

Mark your calendars and get set for #AVeryDirtyChristmas coming to cinemas nationwide December 16 ‼️
There’s a phase you’d get to, tweeting about Nigeria will sound like you are screaming at yourself in a deserted space. Then you stop tweeting and now start retweeting others.
E don choke, you don tire.
Na there I dey now.
The wildest part of being Nigerian is how we hear terrible news, kidnapping, inflation, even murder, and just sigh and keep going. Not because we don’t care, but because we know nothing will be done. It’s scary how normalized this chaos has become. Honestly, it’s exhausting.
