I have been so absent from here, but this has happened! So career path searching had been paused x
I am desperately figuring out whether to do midwifery (short course hopefully!) or health visiting. I want to do it all!
@PhillHRN @BucksNewUni @BNUNursing I am very glad you stopped after initially visiting. You personally gave me a lot of time and absolutely appreciated every single devotion you gave to teaching. Absolutely Inspirational. Thank you and wish you well goinng forward!
Nurse burnout: why the term โresilienceโ may do more harm than good
'As a nurse lecturer I refuse to teach students in preregistration nursing courses how to be more resilient'
The โsupernurseโ culture puts too much responsibility on staff โ argues @ora_dall
I had a really sh*ty week at work. I've had really crappy cramps in my stomach which could be a flare of my crohns. But I also received this in my emails. I actually cried. How brilliant to be recognised especially by a team I've not met! They wont know how much this means to me.
@melhayward @PhillHBNU @twinmummycjb @BucksNewUni Absolutely have thought about it! I was encouraged to look at this pathway after speaking with a local health visitor whilst weighing my son โฅ๏ธ I have been oblivious that BNU offered this course. I would love to be put in touch thank you. ๐
@PhillHBNU @twinmummycjb How wonderful for BNU! Thank you for letting me know. Would be perfect to continue education through BNU. Would love to he kept informed around when this becomes available to apply!
I have had a really hard day in the ED. What made it much better was my team. Being able to ask questions and discuss decisions for patient care. I understand that I will not "know it all" immediately and that's ok. I am human. I am enough. And so are you!
@MissBethanEJohn I will hold my morals and ethics of being welcoming, friendly and free of judgement and I can only hope that this will influence someone else to do the same regardless of institutional behaviours. A smile and a hello can change the course of someones day. Everyone is worth that.
@MissBethanEJohn The idea of this being normalised behaviour is unacceptable. Unfortunately, there are those who depend on 'fitting in' within their team that behaviours are adapted and learnt so not to 'rock the boat' of those who are perseved as stronger personalities and root of the team.
