@swedishhornets@TBBodell@thewatfordway This is exactly it! He was far too honest about the problems at the club. Good on him! I hope he does well in his next job.
@Ant_Watford@james__glen How much was their reaction to falling behind to do with the reaction of the fans is my point though? If I had a bad day at work and everyone told me I was hopeless and didn’t deserve to be there, I’m not sure it would improve my performance! That’s all I’m saying.
@james__glen@Ant_Watford Not surprisingly after that they played a lot worse, were never really in the game. The match was disappointing but for me, to hear the 1881 chants was worse. The players are people, mostly young; who’s going to want to play for us next season?! We’re meant to be supporters 😞2/2
@james__glen@Ant_Watford Not sure I agree with you on this, Ant. I felt the players couldn’t be faulted for their effort prior to conceding, in fact the goal came against the run of play. A lack of quality had let them down but they didn’t deserve the fans to turn on them as they did after the goal.1/2
@TBBodell Agreed. As is the case for most football club owners. At least Gino Pozzo runs the club sustainably. We could have a lot of worse owners and be just another club getting points deductions!
@franelynn@mattrowson@WOWatfordFC Lots of red kites where we are just over the border in Bucks! Their call is usually the first thing heard when you step outside!
@sonicparkins@FroomyWFC I was unable to go to this game, not through choice. Had to be content with watching it on TV. But those who chose not to go, more fool them because they missed a great performance 🤪
@lowergt1971@DNSYE_podcast What stand was that? I’m in the Rookery and usually they just look in my bag; I’ve never had to take anything out of it and sometimes, like on Saturday, there’s no one even there to check it!
Referee in last night’s #WATWRE game was great in pausing the match in the 15th minute for applause for Amelia Aplin 👏 Not so good in that he booked Bove for “excessive celebrations” after scoring his 1st goal since his cardiac arrest 🙁😲
What a moment for Edoardo Bove 💪
On his 6th sub appearance for Watford, the 23-year-old scores his first goal since returning from cardiac arrest in 2024 🙌
@MikeWaltersMGM Agreed. We are really missing Maamma aside from the other players out. A young team is going to struggle especially when depleted. I believe a finish between 8th - 10th will be a good achievement and press on next season.
The last time that we headed out west
We didn't quite play at our best
But a Ngakia shot
That was just far too hot
Means we leave now with joy unsupressed

@Adam_Drury1 Good article, Adam. It certainly looked yesterday like he had no strength to motivate the players. A sad end to what looked promising a few weeks ago.
