I answered the call from @reshmasaujani and @MomsFirstUS to write a letter to the editor about child care affordability & accessibility in Indiana & it was published today: https://t.co/8GjE5f65Se via @indystar#ChildCareOnTheRecord
@WTHRcom please I am begging you to stop interrupting the @NBCOlympics coverage of THE MEN’S GYMNASTICS FINAL for inane weather updates. I would like to hear Tim Daggett lose his mind. Just throw a chyron up and call it good. I’m going to lose it.
Couldn’t end the day without sharing my first-ever Substack post on this godforsaken app I’ve been on since 2007. A love letter to my postpartum self, the new (& not-so-new) moms in my life, & to all the Type Aeldest daughters journeying into motherhood: https://t.co/9aYs9rUG6r
If you’re a “senior Democrat” that feels this way, you should absolutely retire and make space for true leadership that refuses to resign themselves to fascism.
This kind of leadership is functionally useless to the American people. Retire.
Adding my own bit of context to the residuals + streaming conversation. Storytime:
Through a very strange set of circumstances, I (someone who has never pursued acting professionally) ended up in Pitch Perfect
That’s baby 2011 me in the purple polo lmaoooooo
During the stretch I had written a few pieces arguing that Democrats needed to weave anti-Dobbs sentiment together with election denial and other GOP whackery into a broader fabric of extremism and a movement coming after your basic rights. What I missed in real time …
Before the next election, you might want to find a better way to poll anyone under the age of 30 since they would rather pick up a pinless grenade than a call from an unknown number.
This is SO Indiana. The state is going to tax working class families for the $10K-20K they’ll get in student loan forgiveness but chose NOT to tax businesses that got hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars in PPP loan forgiveness. 🤔 #wthr
i think it's very funny that the house of the dragon guys are like "we want to reflect the misogyny of the time period" the time period is the twelfth of makebelieve. it's the 149th year of sir gooby the dragonfoot. it's the eighth age of targabargabor. it's literally made up
@Francophile_66 I actually pay very close attention to local and state races. I am actually represented by Democrats in both the State Senate and the House. The state of Indiana is deeply gerrymandered and the Democratic infrastructure is deeply lacking in many counties.
Signing a deeply unpopular bill under cover of darkness without taking the extra time to consider the damaging consequences demonstrates just how out of touch with Hoosiers you are on this issue. We won’t forget. #BansOffIndiana
