Our new paper!
mRNAs play structural roles in the cytoplasm.
The longest mRNAs bound to FXR1 generate an mRNA-protein assembly that plays an essential role in cellular signaling by enabling proximity of proteins without RNA binding domains.

Just as the trajectory of a personโs life is heavily influenced by the neighborhood they grow up in, we found that the protein output of an mRNA is highly influenced by its location of translation. Ho ho ho๐ ๐ผ โฆโฆ@Mayr_Christineโฉ โฆ https://t.co/QImKhHk5v3
New preprint! We (@xiuzhenchen) found a new mRNP network that covers the whole cytoplasm. We call it the FXR1 network, as it is formed through packaging of exceptionally long mRNAs by FXR1.
Our CSO and CEO will be participating in a panel discussion alongside Dr. Stacy Blain, Co-Founder & CSO and Acting CEO of Concarlo Therapeutics, and Dr. Rayees Rahman, Co-Founder & CEO of Harmonic Discovery next Tuesday.

We had a great symposium with fantastic speakers, awesome audience, fun trivia, and food and drinks afterwards!! We thank our sponsors @ACDbio @AzentaSciences@TwistBioscience for making it possible! ๐๐
๐จpre-print alert๐จmRNAs bind IDRs to control protein activity, effectively acting as post-translational modifications๐คฏ๐งฌ. Congrats @VickyLuo0223 !
New preprint from us!
mRNAs act as chaperones for IDRs.
mRNAs often bind to IDRs. This changes their conformational ensembles to drive protein complex assembly, and controls protein activity.
Thank you @VickyLuo0223!

A lot of people (my parents) have been asking what Iโve been up to for the past 5 yrsโฆjust working out how mRNAs stay organized!
