@JazzieCharlie @Culture_Crit @smpsmyth They used take big art shows (think world fair) all over Europe to show how free expression was in USA & Western Europe. To be fair, artists in Russia were having a pretty rough time unless they made specific types of realism or propaganda. Very interesting time in art history.

@smpsmyth @RacBrasti I wish more people would spend longer just looking. We want to digest and move on. Or overanalyse to feel finished. Agree there’s value in analysis. But it’s also valuable to just look at art. Allow yourself to feel. Then, look more. Don’t be scared to let the feelings change.
