I thought I’d been radicalized by Trayvon Martin’s murder. Then Tamir Rice. Then Breonna Taylor. Then watching mass encampment sweeps during a homelessness crisis. But watching people, people I used to respect even, smugly being genocide apologists has broken something in me.
one day we will unpack how karen went from a word Black ppl used to describe predators to a word ppl use to describe any woman having any emotional reaction in public ever
Even giving the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t know then she didn’t say anything publicly to condemn it either I don’t doubt they’d still be frens if #ThatWoman didn’t go after her
Like I’m not supporting #thatWoman but… she when she thought it would benefit her even when #thatwomans brothers and then bfs violence was public knowledge
I don’t understand acting like this gen-o-side is the only one happening or the most important one or the only one to ever exist i really don’t I’m sorry
Can someone educate me on why black ppl should be boycotting for “nonblack” groups of ppl that ultimately don’t give af about us as a whole? Or am I missing something here?
The worst part of this is that it is completely unnecessary. Companies could still get the material they needed that is causing this atrocity through fair trade. 7 million displaced for what...for what??
