Some sneaky peaks at the set for the first youth theatre double bill at @derbytheatre this week! Was hard not to get swept up in the excited energy in the room as they see their set and costume for the first time!
This week I started my new part time role as the Local Exchange Community Connector for Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley! I can't wait to work with my local community to develop arts events and opportunities for the area! @rxtheatre
@dgellis0907 They only do walk ins, but Palace Barbers in Afflecks has got to be the most friendly barbers out there. I always end up talking about theatre with Steven if he cuts my hair

How to use the lift at spinners mill! The lift has safety sensors that will make the lift halt if you cross the yellow line and reach for the doors too early. Listen for the clicks, or if you're hard of hearing, wait around 3 seconds after the lift stops to open the doors

This is shocking but to be honest if I didn't move in with my partner straight after uni I wouldn't have been able to go straight into working freelance
And of course designers, lighting designers, they're all going through this too. A brilliant young designer told me that, at a @_scene_change_ organised Q&A with an established designer, the career advice they were given was "get a rich husband"...
@WynChloe I know this isn't great advice on making money, but I feel like I've seen more general artist opportunities than theatre opportunities recently, so I'm looking at diversifying my creative practice!
@WynChloe I'm looking into creating my own artworks and project ideas, so when I see call outs for artists to be part of an exhibition or project that engages with people, I already have ideas and a portfolio. It takes work up front but sometimes there are artist development /funding opps
