UK dairy cows are the most climate friendly in the world. If all the 278 million cows in the world were as efficient as UK dairy cows, we WOULD ONLY NEED AROUND 76 MILLION of them to produce the same amount of milk. #amazingfact#COP26#BackBritishFarming#sustainability
We need nature friendly farming, not a rewilded UK where our food is imported and conscience exported. We have the climate and landscape to make this eminently achievable.
Gov’t to reject HoL amendment that would require food imports to have same high animal #welfare standards and low environmental impacts as UK products. Ridiculously myopic. Now even more important to produce more #BritishMeat and #BritishDairy to reduce reliance on imports.
@belreed01 I’m currently doing a placement year with Frontier, would highly recommend. Get to see different areas throughout the business and supply chain. Any questions drop me a Dm 😊

WEAR A MASK.
For years I didn't whilst messing around in grainstores, loading the dryer or blowing down the Combine.
I was in my 20's, I was invincible.
This mask was box fresh this morning - that dust is from 1 load into the dryer.
Do your lungs a favour & wear a mask.
@hertsfarming A change in the farm wheat price of £25/t adds about 1.6p to the cost of a loaf. With an annual consumption of 43 loaves/person/year the annual increase in cost is 68.8p per person ... less than a First Class stamp.
Despite the headlines, soya milk alternatives are substantially LESS sustainable than cows milk produced in the UK

To celebrate #Farm24 we asked #womeninag to share how they define their roles and qualities within agriculture to bring women together, showcase opportunities and inspire others.

Here's what they said... (Part 1)
@FarmersOfTheUK It is great to see people are still producing A2 milk after you can no longer buy it in major supermarkets! As I can only drink A2 and not lactose free I really wish I was closer to you!!
GMO corn vs. Non-GMO corn. Guess which one has withstood the onslaught of the deadly Fall Armyworm? Those who are opposed to ag biotech are standing in the way of such solutions especially in Africa where this pest is causing havoc

Max Hastings’ article in y’days @thetimes is laughable. We should be park keepers? The 1 mil + signatures to @NFUtweets food standards petition wont agree. Nature, wildlife & environmental care, must go hand in hand with food production, one doesn’t happen without the other.
