I don't think enough emphasis is being put on the fact that neighbours called 999 to report shouting and a possible stabbing before the Digwa brother called the police. Between the snapchat video (which was just before the stabbing occurred) and the body cam footage of the police nearly an hour had passed.
The neighbours heard someone shouting that they had been stabbed and called 999.

If Henry was shouting then he was still well enough to be saved. So where were the police for nearly an hour? Why wasn't an ambulance arranged when the initial 999 call was made? And why when they eventually bother to show up did nobody know that a stabbing had been reported earlier? And then to top it all off they cuff the victim like a violent criminal and oversee his painful death with callous indifference?

So much is not adding up but everything points to failures by the police at every possible level.

Henry Nowak was on the ground dying and the British police still found time to do the killer a favor.

The bodycam shows it clear as day. Henry tells them he’s been stabbed. He tells them nine times he can’t breathe. A voice in the background ... the actual murderer ... says he hasn’t been stabbed. And an officer answers, “I know. But we have to check, don’t we?”

They checked by dragging a bleeding teenager across gravel and cuffing him while he begged for air. Then, as he started to lose consciousness, they told him he was under arrest for assault. Based on the lies of the man who just stuck a knife in him.

That’s not a mistake. That’s what happens when you train cops to treat every white person as a potential racist first and a human being second. The Hampshire Race Action Plan didn’t make them better at their jobs. It made them slower to believe a dying boy and quicker to believe the scumbag who killed him.

The killer had a knife and a bullshit story. The system made sure the story landed harder than the truth.

They didn’t just stand there and watch Henry die. They helped restrain him while he did it. Hands behind his back. Face in the dirt. Pale and white while the life drained out of him.

And these officers are still getting paid. No one’s been sacked. No one’s been charged. The same institutions that lose their fucking minds when the “wrong” person dies are suddenly very professional and very quiet now that the camera caught them doing the opposite of their job.

This isn’t policing anymore. It’s ideological enforcement with handcuffs. And Henry Nowak paid the price for it with his last breaths.

What bothers me the most about the Nowak case is how he had no chance. He was stabbed, and in other cases maybe he would have received assistance, maybe the perpetrator would have run away and then people would have helped, an ambulance would have come.

But he wasn't just stabbed. Then a systematic process began. The knife was hidden by a family member. A second family member made the call to police and lied. This set in motion the police response which judged Nowak the perpetrator without interviewing him or anyone. He was cuffed and couldn't even speak as he was cautioned that he was arrested.

It wasn't just the police response, it was that he lay wounded and dying and those around him were all a family, involved in hiding the weapon, lying to police and telling police when they arrived that Nowak wasn't stabbed.

The whole system was against him, in his own country he was completely alone, surrounded, with no chance to survive. From the moment the perpetrator decided to stab him, he had no chance. The entire system worked against him.

And when you see the video of the perpetrator and family, they act like this is a completely normal day...like they would just walk away and it was fine. No sense of shock, no sense of shame.

Then, when the bodycam footage was released that showed how awfully and unfairly he was treated by police, while he was left to bleed to death... they decided to change their tune and act like they're "saddened" by what happened.

Fue una puta hora.
En lugar de llevarlo a un hospital a 4 minutos de allí, lo tuvieron una hora.
En el suelo.
Esposado.
Arrastrado al principio y burlándose de él.
Una puta hora.
Le leyeron sus derechos estando él ya semiinconsciente, agonizando.
E incluso así tardaron 3 minutos más en quitarle las esposas.
