Now that I've gotten the majority of my health problems taken care of, I hope to make/post more art online. A LOT has happened over the summer. I hope to have an update soon.
I'm debating whether I redesign Ellis. I made them to look like me, but now I've literally lost almost 100 lbs, and I'm still losing weight! Part of their appeal is they're a chubby lil pig.....
@ecutruin Generative AI is literally Non-determanstic. That's how it works. It's not recognizing patterns like how humans do, so it shouldn't be even compareable. How can you claim to be an "AI enthusiast" when you don't even care to learn how AI actually works? It's insulting.
@ecutruin Like, the closest thing in humans' nervous system that is comparable to how generative AI works is MAYBE muscle memory, and that isn't even required to make professional-quality art. Muscle memory isn't a deeper understanding. You give an input, and you get an expected output.
@ecutruin Generative AI is predictive. It's not extracting patterns. It's making its best guess at what it should make based on the prompt it is given. It doesn't "understand" why it's making what it does. It only cares about the "score" of the desired output, not the context or patterns.
I think I've cried this year more than any other year I've existed, that how awful I've been feeling recently. My relationships, my education, my mental and physical health. Everything feels like it's been going to shit. I hope I can start to fix things over the summer....
@KellyGuy The US has invested over 300 billion (inflation adjusted) in economic and military aid to Israel since its founding in 1948, more than any other country. Don't you agree that this money could be used to help our own children instead of killing children in another country?
I personally find it flattering when my work is compared to others. It helps me grow, because I can gauge what people appreciate about my art, and it helps me find other artists to inspire me. I think, like critique, you shouldn't just give it without asking, though. That's rude.
I do wanna say to anyone reading cause I just remembered: Do NOT tell me my art or my skills are 'better' than any other artists. Art isn't a competition. You can be appreciative without bringing others down, too.
