Iranian authorities have stepped up pressure on one of the country’s few surviving Protestant churches, threatening to confiscate its valuable central Tehran compound and evict residents, in what church leaders describe as the latest assault on Christian worship sites.

Iranian Christian convert Ghazal Marzban has been sentenced to 9 years and 8 months in prison after authorities confiscated her Bible and Christian literature during a raid on her home in Tehran.
Marzban, who converted to Catholicism seven years ago, was convicted on charges including "propaganda against the state" and "gathering and collusion against national security." During interrogations, she was pressured to admit that her Bible was being used for evangelism, a claim she denied, insisting the materials were for personal use.
She was arrested in January and held for around a month without outside contact. Her husband, who suffers from Parkinson's disease and is also a Christian convert, relies on medication that has become difficult to access.
In Egypt, football is everything, unless you’re Christian. Talented Coptic kids are blocked from clubs, the national team, and even the Olympics simply because of their faith. It’s becoming harder to ignore. No athlete should be excluded because of their beliefs.

REMEMBERING MARTYRS: According to church history, Paul was beheaded on June 29th in Rome. Paul’s intensity and zeal made significant contributions to Christendom. The one who once persecuted Jesus Christ became the one who spent the rest of his days promoting Christ.
