@MoneyBones2 @moving_charlie Surely we need to adapt to the new technologically driven world, not stagnate? We can't keep doing things the way we always have until the end of time. High Streets have been failing since shopping malls, online shopping and ppl commuting out to work in the bigger cities.
@LyndsF23@EffedPl@ClaireCopperman@HackedOffHugh Yes absolutely, I agree otherwise people won't be able to live. Unfortunately somebody always has to lose because that's how our society is set up, sadly.
@EffedPl@ClaireCopperman@HackedOffHugh Just one point out a few in response to the advocate: If everyone upskilled etc then who will work the minimum wage jobs? In our current economic system somebody has to be poor.
@DeborahMeaden I can't believe how nonsensical her thinking is. These are the people who make important decisions for this country... Seeing her level of intelligence makes me wonder if perhaps we would be better with unelected experts making those decisions ๐
@GardeningAtNigh@campbellclaret I get where you're coming from but they don't really need to explain. The people need to wake up and revolt. We all know why they're doing it, but the majority just carry on regardless.
@MHRAgovuk The same rigorous review that went into the vaccines that saw people die from clots, suffer anaphylaxis, flare ups of autoimmune diseases, and saw tens of thousands of women reporting changes to their menstrual cycle before anybody bothered to say they'd look into it?
@terrychristian@Claire52jan @SeanReay1 And none of those quotes include any evidence. It baffles me, and did at the time, that people were happy to make a decision based solely on supposition (which were mostly knowing lies in reality)
@SeanReay1 @terrychristian We're only now beginning to see the fallout, so I think there is a lot of learning yet to come. Not the time to move on yet imo
@SeanReay1 @terrychristian Actually, it's about learning from the past so this kind of thing hopefully doesn't happen again. If people just "moved on" from every mistake they'd ever made, we wouldn't have gotten very far.
@jude5456 I don't get this "covid is causing labour shortages" The pandemic has been going on for nearly two years, wouldn't we have seen labour shortage impacts before now? But we do have the 1st October 2021 visa deadline looming, so maybe EU workers are just going home?
