Announcing my Aust first paper on Indigenous youth mental health & suicide behaviour clinical norms that reveals 1 in 4 Indigenous youth have attempted suicide and 42% have suicidal thoughts (N=1,266).

This research has all been SELF FUNDED. WHY? Because this is the FIRST STEP to treatment. Defining and understanding - empirically and objectively.

Governments haven't done this. Even highly funded research institutions in the millions of dollars haven't managed it.

That paper has just been released in Australian Psychologist (Westerman & Dear, 2024), and a Media Release is about to go out all over Australia.

Let's hope this gets the attention it DESERVES!
