@bconin8@EmmaKCoates And now we see where all this bitterness actually flows from, anecdotal frustrations with your own children. That doesn’t make solid foundation for policy arguments.
@bconin8@EmmaKCoates I’m trying to explain that young people do not have it as easy as previous generations and that’s backed up by statistics, not anecdotes. How much did you have to save up for your mortgage?
@bconin8@EmmaKCoates My parents aren’t paying for anything? What planet do you live on ffs my rent is higher than their mortgage repayments. You seem to forget the stories history of Labour movements on this island. We are given nothing unless it’s demanded. Why would the rich part with their wealth?
@bconin8@EmmaKCoates You don’t know anything about my parents gramps. They had a better quality of life on far lower income and job seniority. The policies implemented in the last twenty years benefitted corporate landlords over private home ownership (this isn’t in dispute).
@bconin8@EmmaKCoates My parents had a higher quality of life on a lower income. I will be emigrating at the first opportunity. That must make me the whinging cohort. Good luck in the care home, hope it was worth it.
