Spent some time in Shannon this week with @AontroimGAA & @wtnsgaa hero Jim Corr. A privilege to hear his remarkable story. See Saturdayβs @isfearranstar
The Lab at UCC that is changing the world.
Congratulations to Prof Seamus Davis who received the @APSphysics's Buckley Prize in Condensed Matter Physics at a ceremony last night in Las Vegas, an accolade that recognises 25 years of work and his development of quantum microscopes

"Every story is absolutely incredible & they're just not there." The stories of #WomenInSTEM are often overlooked. Few know this better than @jesswade, an @imperialcollege physicist who spends her free time adding them to Wikipedia.
New #101Jobs tomorrow: https://t.co/TGvTnR3Pkd
I came nowhere close to winning, but this award from @IOP_Ireland did a lot for my confidence. I hope many of the @BTYSTE young scientists choose careers in science and technology, and hope they have as much fun and excitement as I have had in a varied and rewarding career
Nostalgic at the @BTYSTE. My late father was a radio amateur (EI7CD) and inspired my interest in science, electronics, radio and computing. When clearing his house, under a pile of radio magazines, we found my 1982 @BTYSTE project on short wave radio propagation.
What a lineup we have for this years round table discussion on #energy. @petertgallagher, @MMCJoyce, @niallmoyna and @ailbhes will take part in what is sure to be a fascinating discussion hosted by @b_trench. Registration is free but limited β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ‘οΈππ¨π
