Glad to extend further on the local manufacturing story of immune effector cells (IECs). Out now in @ASTCT_Journal. We surveyed 157 FACT-accredited facilities in the US for their readiness for local manufacturing. The bottom line: a two-stage approach. First, we can leverage academic Good Manufacturing Practice facilities for local manufacturing. Second, we support facilities for minimal manipulation to be ready for local manufacturing. How far are we? I would say not far, but we need to put in the work.
