Elijah after calling down fire from the heavens: “I am not greater than my ancestors.” *hides himself in fear*
Modern man today: “My ancestors were apes who believed in gods and magic” *stands up in pride*
@joshwhitlatch Obedience is repentance, and you must bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. The thief on the cross repented once while he was dying, and it was enough. Don't assume you're the thief; I imagine his life was much harder.
@JesseDornfeld All of you Zionist "Christians" must hate Isaiah 65 when the prophet says that God will establish a new people who will enter into His rest. You must also hate Christ for saying the Kingdom (Israel) is like a net cast into the sea drawing all kinds of fish and the bad are thrown
The only difference between Abel's and Cain's sacrifice was that Abel gave the first of his fruits. He gave the best; what is meant here is that you must give God your first. He must have your first attention, first thought. That's what it means to have a whole eye as in Mathew.
@AL_J82 Isn't it much harder to have to be honest before God in confession? Isn't it easier, literally, to be a Protestant in sin than it is to be a Catholic or Eastern Orthodox? If we're lying in confession, we're lying before God, not the priest.
