...some prophage encoded genes (not defences) under standard LB conditions, despite the prophage being cryptic and unable to propagate... kind of suggests some of their genes have been co-opted for host biology (who knows🤷‍♀️)
- We detected ~2-3 mini proteins encoded within rRNA...
