@AC2819@CAIPEUK My next question would be how many voices would need to be heard by each MP before this was moved forward? Should we be looking at how this is managed in our own low income communities first? (Sorry, playing devil's advocate)
@CAIPEUK#CAIPEchat#CAIPEUK#CAIPEStudents Ans q4.. Morally yes they should but I fear that with all spheres of politics there will be reasons for why they don't and probably support within their own country for that stand
@AC2819@CAIPEUK I agree Amira, public funded outputs should be free but if the proportion of that funding is limited, how do companies continue manufacturing if they don't charge?
@CAIPEUK Ans q3.. Any profit from public funding should be used for public good - could they be used to fund engagement in vaccination programmes in under represented communities?
@CAIPEUK#CAIPEchat#CAIPEUK#CAIPEstudents Ans q3.. On the face of it, the immediate answer would be 'NO' but are there other things we should be considering? How much public funding formed part of the development monies?
@DrAlisonMachin@CAIPEUK 'Professional differences being viewed as complimentary' is a really interesting perspective and if we started from this point we could maybe begin to foster a more collaborative and integrated interprofessional team#CAIPEchat
@OLeary_Noreen@CAIPEUK Q4 Fostering that dual identity could be quite challenging? Our own sense of what 'we do' could hinder us being able to help students look beyond their uniform to see the real potential of a flexible interprofessional workforce. #CAIPEchat
@alan_dow@gabriele_cv@CAIPEUK I think you make a good point here @alan_dow and this is where interprofessional discussion is really important so that our students begin to get a sense of how different professional identities shape the complexities and begin helping them to navigate this
@gabriele_cv@alan_dow@CAIPEUK Helping students navigate that and begin to form a sense of their own interprofessional identity can be challenging #CAIPEchat
@CAIPEUK Q3, there is a lot of evidence within cancer care MDT decision making that suggests if the patient choice isn't considered then the decisions made by the team often need to be changed - so the patient is central to any care that we provide
@gabriele_cv@alan_dow@CAIPEUK Hi Gabriele Can we change the mindset to allow us to be able to think in terms of an interprofessional identity? Where should this start? #CAIPEchat
