Every child deserves more than a seat in school; they deserve learning that lasts.
Over nearly two decades, LEAPS followed the same children from primary school into adulthood. The findings bring real reasons for hope.

According to the data, the learning crisis starts early. Many children are in school but not learning. Our long term research shows that foundational learning is where progress begins and where it can quietly slip away.
What happens next matters.

People are more likely to believe in horoscopes and tarot cards than in climate change, so I made a bunch of tarot cards for @COP28_UAE attendees "predicting" the future of climate change in Pakistan.

Workers were not silent – they complained both to Amazon managers and the supply company, but were dismissed and threatened. Amazon could and should have intervened when complaints surfaced over two years ago. It’s mind boggling that they did not.

Despite a 2-year contract with the supply companies, workers were deployed at Amazon for far less before being stranded in awful conditions, unpaid and prevented from changing jobs or leaving the country - abuses enabled by Saudi Arabia's kafala system
https://t.co/Fnpu3t0KnN
Workers also spoke of exhausting work, grueling targets a failure to allow time to recover from illness or injury. One man was signed off by a doctor for a month with a suspected broken arm, but a lack of sick pay meant he went back much sooner.
https://t.co/Fnpu3t0KnN
Once in Saudi Arabia, the workers’ reality became clear. The supply companies housed them in over-crowded, filthy accommodation, withheld salaries without explanation and underpaid them overtime.
https://t.co/Fnpu3t0KnN
The Nepali workers had been recruited by labour supply companies to staff Amazon's warehouses. Despite paying $1,500 in illegal fees, many believed it would be a “golden opportunity” and were told they would be working directly for Amazon. This was untrue

My artwork for @amnesty's latest report revealing harrowing details of exploitation of migrant workers in Amazon's warehouses in Saudi Arabia.
This report is a must-read: https://t.co/IDRopwPKRw
Our new @amnesty investigation shows how contracted migrant workers in Amazon warehouses in Saudi Arabia were deceived and exploited, with the company knowing about complaints for over two years without ending this shocking abuse.

📢AFGHANISTAN: The Taliban’s severe restrictions and unlawful crackdown on women & girls’ rights should be investigated as possible crime against humanity of gender persecution, @amnesty and @ICJ_org said today in a new joint report: https://t.co/XLsVydrNi0
Since childhood, it was my dream to be a published author.
I thought it would be a fictional story like the one my 12yr old self was writing the day Baba disappeared.
Now 18, I hold a book in my hand that is far from fiction. It is a story of pure survival.

This International Day of Education marks 129 days of closure of girls' school in Afghanistan. The Taliban have banned girls above age 12 to go to school. Girls are abandoned from fundamental right to education. Call on Taliban authorities to #OpenSchoolsForGirls 📚
