That has been the direction of travel. Prompt engineering, for example, is no longer the thing it once was.

@RealAdamHunt You are vastly more qualified than I to judge progress in AI. But I will say I do not share your sense that models have not gotten better at writing. They still have their pathologies, but I'd say that prompted well, the latest models can write fine prose.

Sol found a list of eligible titles and picked two great ones. Fable picked the best audiobooks in the abstract--neither available.

@zach_barnett @DKThomp Maybe the economics could be made to work. But I agree with Thompson that "Obession" is a "weird fucking movie." Almost gem-like, a near-perfect object. Best film of 2026, for my money. I think the hit rate on quality that high may be really low.
