65th place YCS Dortmund VSK9
im really proud of this result, but id be lying to say im not sad about the final placement. if only one of my opponents won one more match i wouldve gotten my 1st major top at my first ycs, but, such is life.
1/2
hot takes
this is the most skilled format ive ever played (since 2023)
kewl tune is a fair deck that has more than enough counterplay
the existence of kt only allows strong engine decks with minimal bricks and redundancy to be played which makes the format better
@atrocityTCG i mean saving imperm just to trade 1 for 1 with quem, cartesia or synchro ecclesia is just never good enough no?
at that point just slam it and hope it stops walbaz access
@NightOwl157 i like the fact kt is gatekeeping yummy, elfnote, vs, luna and others
the format is better with kt as the best deck than it would be without it
@NightOwl157 every format has to have a best deck, and kewl tune is how it should be. centralizing, forcing you to respect it, but with a clear enough weakness to the point is consistently beatable
it takes a lot of skill to both pilot and beat
i love character driven stories i love well written dialogue i love when the entire episode is 25 minutes of one conversation yes give me more mmmmmmmm
@atrocityTCG@DinhKhaBui yeah of course i dont blame people for playing the best decks
im not saying breakthroughs in deckbuilding dont happen just wanted to shoutout the goat of meta calls
applies to yugioh aswell, every format is a lot wider than percieved but the best players dont like to take chances on unproven decks
thats why @DinhKhaBui is the goat
Those who take a more creative approach are typically not educated/experienced enough to pilot an unorthodox team to this level.
Those who have the reps typically care more about their opportunity for consistent wins than taking the chance on finding/using a team this out of box.
