🌳✨ The UON Forest Schools team is offering exciting workshops in outdoor learning for children and staff! ✨ 🌳
Through Forest Schools, students and staff can engage in team challenges that foster independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
In March and April, Eastfield Primary Academy, Thorplands Primary School and Greenoaks Academy visited UON to experience the magic of Forest Schools! Activities included a ‘welly waddle’, mini beast hunt and scavenging for materials to create a bug hotel🐞🦋
A primary school teacher shared, “The children have had the opportunity to work as a team, enhance their social and communication skills, and engage in activities they wouldn’t normally do in their day-to-day classroom life. This opportunity has been invaluable to our school, our children, and their education.”
These brand new, bookable half-day workshops are available on set dates during May and June, focusing on key curriculum areas across Key Stage 1 and 2. For a small fee, schools can book an activity linked to science, art or PE to be delivered by UON’s outdoor learning academics.
