When the gas man saw me this morning struggling with my cylinder as I was getting down from the bike, he quickly rushed to help me.
As he carried it, he asked, “Why did you even buy this kind of big cylinder when you only fill 1kg every weekend? Don’t you think it’s stressing you?”
I answered, “I understand… I’m just filling the one my money can carry.”
He shook his head, “But you should have bought a smaller one, like 3kg or 5kg, not this big 12kg you drag here every time.”
I smiled and replied, “I bought this size so that anytime I have enough money, I can fill it well and it will last.”
He nodded and said, “Okay o, na 1kg you want today abi?”
I laughed. “1kg? Me wey collect salary yesterday? I want to fill this gas very well today.”
The man smiled.
He then placed the cylinder on the scale and said, “Alright, since you want to fill it very well, that’s 12kg... Should I go ahead?”
I said, “No, 12kg is slightly above my budget… but what I want to fill is very close to that.”
He said, “Oh, like 10kg or 11kg?”
Eeeeh!?
10kg or 11kg keehh?!
Abeg, press 2kg there.
Boom!
His face changed instantly, “2kg?? And you said it’s close to 12kg??”
Shuuu?!
Why he dey squeeze face nah?
2kg no near 12kg again abi?
Oga, abeg… load 2kg for me, let me go home 😑😏
