@feelthebyrn1 Thanks for the reassurance! Had prepared myself for 10/15bpm lower breakpoint(s) so am happy. Will pay attention to breathing also and keep it conservative
@feelthebyrn1 Hi - recently followed your submax lactate testing protocol on a treadmill. Positively surprised. Now searching for ways I could have done it incorrectly. Maybe I took too long between intervals to test as was not running for a couple mins. Could that be?
@feelthebyrn1 So I think the test itself (blood onto strip) was happening pretty quick, say within 30 secs, but then prepping strip for next test etc prob added another 30 sec to 1 min rest before getting going again
@feelthebyrn1 I was doing the 10 min slow ramp to find z1/z2 breaks - testing on 5 and 10 min of each pace.. so I guess that’s 5 min intervals and then the break to test/prep next test was prob 1 to 2 mins
@EliasLehtonen@alexis0duque Hi - just got one of these and am no scientist.. would you consider any reading below 2mmol to be -0.4 then?
Also, how did you feel the eaglenos compared in terms of totally off readings? I’ve had a couple. I guess contaminated by sweat..
Thanks!
@Alan_Couzens For a “spot check” might I test after an easy run out in the world (not on a treadmill), of say 45 mins, as a way to check in that I have stayed at/below 2mmol.. or wherever I have determined LT1 to be for instance?
@johngetstrong Interesting that it took 9 months of work before it started to increase - were you doing intervals during that time or just building volume?
@johngetstrong@ericguzman Interesting -
so you’ll strength train on your only full running rest day?
And I notice you’re peppering some z3/4/5 on days other than the track days?
@Alan_Couzens So for amateur endurance athletes would you say fatmax associated HR is more useful to know than LT1 HR?
I guess fatmax shifts up towards LT1 as you become a better fat burner?
@YairWallach Whilst Apartheid in South Africa may have ended in the political and legal sense, definitely an important victory, it certainly has not been “dismantled” socially/economically. Life for majority of poor black and brown people is extremely impoverished. Worth keeping that in mind
