@Zoc @dahlinalexander @mknejp@MatRopert In the third case we couldn't find out if there was a T or not (due to some error, an exception, database busy, network failure, etc.).
The nullptr case means there absolutely isn't any T.

We could do:
bool TryFetchResource(T*& OutResult);
But then we still have the bool, just somewhere else this time

There is a niche case for Optional<T*> but I also really doubt that a new programmer is going to be running into such specific semantics.
