Oscar drives like this at the start, this is just what he does. Look back at every race where they start near each other. Oscar goes this aggressive EVERY TIME and to hell with anyone else, while Lando backs out to keep them both from wrecking every race.

In Singapore - The one time Lando gave it back as good as he gets - Oscar (of course) didn’t do what Lando does and back off a bit to keep them from colliding (which is his right, but puts him at fault, too). Instead, he pushed back just as hard (Jenson’s analysis), they had one wheel bang, and Oscar cried on the radio for the next 15 minutes. Lando ended up getting steamrolled by hate and hit with “repercussions” from his team “through the rest of the season.”

Yet somehow, even after crashing the whole front row, Oscar has “superior awareness and race craft” when he really just hammers through with a “you yield or we crash” mentality. Lando has always been the one who keeps them from crashing because he does actually have enough race craft to be strategic and manage situations happening around him. No one sees that though because the narratives go strong.

But you know what, forget all that. Let's go back to iceman circle jerking.

It is funny that Piastri called Lando selfish after Lando gave him his first win and then dragged him along saving him from Russell in Qatar sprint, and then forfeited his win out of the last corner to repay Piastri. No other teammate would be that unselfish
