@PeterSweden7 The control measures seem to have worked, last new case was a crew member from the ship. No new cases so nothing to report. Fear is more newsworthy than success stories. Caution was the appropriate response, though.
@ValerieAnne1970 The Gates Foundation funded research on tick control in countries where ticks are causing disease in cattle. The idea was to genetically modify male ticks so that they can mate but without producing viable offspring. Not sure it has gotten past the research phase in an UK lab.
@ValerieAnne1970 1) Tick boxes are for tick control, not for spreading ticks. Hard to identify what came from the box in the video. Could be ants. Tick boxes are a way of treating wild rodents with a pesticide that kills ticks and fleas on the rodents.
@eds_perspective@MHTruthUltra Do you think that they might have been hysterical because they saw how unpredictable he was and were concerned about the directions he could take the country? (war, economic issues, cruelty, division, coverups, corruption, etc.)
@AbdulElSayed How about having Medicare available to people who are self-employed? They are already paying both the employee and employer share of Medicare taxes. I wonder how many potential entrepreneurs never get started because their health insurance is tied to employment.
@Sassafrass_84 A native Brazilian suggested putting a drop of copaiba oil in a palmful of coconut oil and rubbing it on as a mosquito repellent. So that plus the Bugs Away clothing worked great for me. Hope you enjoy your trip and that mosquitoes are not a problem for you.
@Sassafrass_84 When I was traveling last year, I wore Bugs Away clothing and saw one mosquito during months of travel in Central and South America. Other suggestion we've received are Off for Children or Lemon Eucalyptus spray
