#edu4011 the theme of this weeks reading was disciplinary reading/ how to teach that to students, and why it is important for all content areas. The readings explained key strategies to teach disciplinary reading in Social Stuides such as using Contextualization or Sourcing.

#HCCfieldstudent It's amazing that Baca County still hasn't truly recovered from the Dust Bowl. Watching the PBS #coloradoexperience video that accompanies this exhibit has a lot of interesting information on that small part of this exhibit.

#HCCfieldstudent the Dust Bowl exhibit is such a cool/devastating part of Colorado's history. The video about Black Sunday really helps you feel what it was like to live in Baca County at this time. Also Black Sunday happens to be the same day I was born (60 years later)
