Seeing how patterns can be seen in my classroom daily was amazing! Not only do I use them within my lessons, but also within my daily routines. #FRIT7234Summer23
Learning about Abstraction and Decomposition as it relates to computer science and computational thinking has been a fun experience this week. We'll never truly appreciate how much we can skip over just by clicking on an icon on our computer desktop. #FRIT7234Summer23
I've really enjoyed putting together an infographic to visually represent an algorithm. I chose a social-emotional topic due to the specific need in my classroom. #FRIT7234Summer23
This week has been full of learning new things! The five questions about technology were really thought-provoking. I think that everyone could benefit from answering the questions. #FRIT7234Summer23
I just did module 3 for this week and I am absolutely blown away by how often I use algorithms! I did not have an understanding that algorithms were used outside of computers and math. I am so thankful for algorithms. My classroom would be a mess without them! #FRIT7234Summer23
Practicing coding with https://t.co/2c4bKMxKOh is a great way to keep these third graders engaged the last full week of while teaching them some wonderful problem solving skills. #frit7234summer23
I am totally new to learning how to code. I think this is a great way to express creativity and show critical thinking skills. I can't wait to incorporate this into my classroom next year!
My takeaways:
Students must start using computers at a young age. Just like learning to speak a new language- learning the language of computers are easier when started young. Students will be using technology for the rest of their lives- best to start now! #FRIT7234Summer23
