This paper provides a method for generating clinical grade human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) from each treated patient. Beyond treating Parkinson’s Disease, this method can be used to study any condition that has the possibility of using hiPSCs replacement therapy
Check out this new paper from Harvard Medical School! They optimized cell replacement therapy for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease! https://t.co/U3OZWwyYG6
Although similar outcomes have been previously shown, this method utilizes a cell source free of ethical concerns, which resulted in a remarkably higher number of DA neurons that survived transplantation and degree of behavioral recovery.
