I was thrilled to join UK @AndrewmitchMP to announce USAID's contribution of $3 million to the UK’s global GBV flagship program, with dedicated funding to address GBV against LGBTQI+ people. During the #16DaysOfActivism, partnerships are critical to accelerate progress in #EndGBV
Really happy that @USAID today announced $3m new funding for the UK’s @WW2PreventVAWG programme! Looking forward to working together to pilot and evaluate approaches to prevent violence for those most at risk, including LGBT+ people 🏳️🌈 #16DaysOfActivism

Really inspiring to see the innovative work our #SAFEZim programme is doing to tackle the challenges of gender based violence.
The programme provides support to women impacted by GBV as well as prevention initiatives such as financial strengthening and family wellbeing sessions.
Really enjoyed our first in-person meeting of the @WW2PreventVAWG advisory board https://t.co/MggGPiaCZC at #SVRIForum2022. Lots of great advice & reflections on opportunities for scaling up evidence-based #VAWG prevention.

#Womenwithdisabilities in Low-Middle Income Countries are 2–4x more likely to experience #IPV, and are at increased risk of non-partner sexual violence. They MUST be meaningfully included in all aspects of #VAWGprevention programming and decision-making.
We are excited to be working with you too @SohiniBee@INBreakthrough and learning from your deep experience of scaling up #VAWG prevention and keeping #WhatWorks2 accountable to women & girls in the Global South.
So excited to be a part of the #WhatWorks2 consortium building on the work that WhatWorks1 did to find solutions that #preventVAWG to now scaling new approaches in the Global South. Reaching out to #EndViolence work led by women in all their diversities.
📣 Delighted 🇬🇧 has ratified @coe Istanbul Convention on violence against women. Upholding the international framework on women’s rights is more important than ever in the face of concerted opposition. I’m proud of the UK’s continued leadership on this issue @vickyford@UKDelCoE
Whilst I was in 🇲🇽 it was fantastic to see the work of our regional project on #VAWG which has adapted evidence from @WW2PreventVAWG to address the challenges facing women and girls in Mexico. I’m proud of the 🇬🇧 leading work in this area, hear more about it here ⬇️ @EmilyEsplen
Really enjoyed being part of the launch of the @preventgbv. A great initiative to drive shared advocacy for more and better funding for evidence-driven, practice-informed #GBV prevention. Congratulations to all who have worked so hard to make this idea become a reality!
Thank you thank you thank you! Three sessions, two goals, one mission--and you all showed up in support. Many strategies were shared on prevention of GBV and we are confident if we come together we can make it happen. Make sure to follow us across social media @preventgbv
Just had the BEST two days together with the @WW2PreventVAWG consortia in person for the first time! Exciting discussions about our upcoming innovation and scale-up grants. So inspired to be working with such a smart, diverse, committed group of women to prevent #VAWG
Great to see this new report from @GAD_Network on lessons for a #feminist#COVID19 economic recovery centring sustainability, wellbeing and care. A powerful call for a bolder approach to “building back better”

So pleased #UK ratified @ILO 190 today, recognising the right of everyone to a world of work free from violence & harassment. Crucial to continue to protect & advance the global normative framework for gender equality, especially in face of opposition to women’s rights #IWD2022
Very pleased that the United Kingdom has ratified @ILO Convention 190 on violence & harassment.
It's timely for #IWD2022. The Convention is designed to free the world of work from violence & harassment for all women and men.
I urge all countries to #RatifyC190 and implement it.
Launched today: the survivor-led #bravemovement to end sexual violence against children & adolescents. Seeking transformative action to prevent violence and support healing & justice for survivors. Important and courageous work.
