@womeninmedchat A4 Always going back to checking in with ourselves and asking, “ Am I operating from my heart or my head?” If you are engaging with only your head/ego than chances are the relationship won’t last. Ask yourself, “What is your intention? “
@drbatraneo@womeninmedchat Yes! Being brought up playing with perfect Barbie dolls ... need I say more about our society!? Strong real women role models are where it’s at! #WomenEmpowerment
@womeninmedchat Gaining friends/partners all over the country! It is a constant practice of learning to push your bag of bullshit aside and create connections with one another on a basic human level. Keep it simple. Smile. Make eye contact. Introduce yourself. Breathe. #WomenEmpowerment
@womeninmedchat A2 I used to struggle with using my voice. If another woman was physically taller, louder, “prettier”, etc I automatically defaulted to the self limiting belief that she was “better”/“smarter” I eventually gained the tools from strong mentors/coaches to bust through those lies.
@womeninmedchat Intentional partnerships to me mean connecting with another woman below the surface. It means looking at the other woman as a reflection of myself and finding the opportunity to be of service. #WomenInMedicine#connection
Paying attention with purpose in the present moment. That’s what mindfulness is. We all have an opportunity to embrace some more mindfulness in our everyday lives. https://t.co/CvnzaY7ZiB
@JTopinMD@statnews@jkwillettmd@ERGoddessMD@chadinabhan @ShannonTapiaMD I felt the same way when I left nursing. It got even harder when my father told me “I didn’t have two feet on the floor” when he learned I was pursuing other passions (writing & yoga) He thought I went off the deep end!
