Today is Employee Appreciation Day the whole world over, and to drive home the power of recognition and appreciation, I spent a few days talking to my coworkers about how being recognized feels for them and heard some great things.

@PleasantKenobi The Target my partner works at has taken all but the $5 packs off the floor and now sells the bigger ones for 1 hour on 1 day of the week.

@itsrhondabitch @KristaJacobsen @CarrieinFbx @jenellingsworth@bessbell We played it in elementary in the late 90s/early 00s and the entire playground would get in on it sometimes. We had lines of like 30 kids on either side and we’d rush in groups and it was ridiculous and amazing.

@goodreads I’m rereading Cailín R. Kiernan’s The Drowning Girl. It’s such a perfect example of an unreliable narrator and it is delightfully spooky.
Additionally, Kiernan has some truly beautiful prose throughout. My copy is just super marked up and I can’t recommend it enough.
