With the new census data imported into CensusMapper it's time for some quick analysis. Overall the 0-14 population has dropped by ~415 in Vancouver (VSB) 2001 to 2021. But that change was not uniform geographically, here is the breakdown by (harmonized) census tract.
@georgeprbenson In talking to a doctor friend, it seems there is little to no incentive for med students to choose the path of primary care physician. It's more costly and time intensive than working at a hospital... lots of challenges at play.
Today, I visited Anima Mundi, part of the Vatican Museum with Indigenous “artifacts” kept in the Church’s private collection. There is an “Ontario”pipe stove from the 18th century, Haida Gwaii masks from the 18th Century, much more. I photographed them and was asked to leave.

@iheartcities I think public engagement and user research are similar but different fields. In my mind, public engagement has not historically provided the rigour around question design, sampling, and analysis that is required for research. The field is ever-evolving!
Diébédo Francis Kéré's work introduced a very young me to the community-driven possibilities of design. I am so happy to see him recognized for his contribution to the field of architecture.
