@mrdanwalker@Lionesses I think the cost would’ve been justified given the occasion. He’s the President of the FA as well as a senior Royal - unforgivable.
@theSOWilliams @richardosman@BBCiPlayer Yes, it’s different because half the contestants are minor celebrities. I found this both interesting and irritating at times, but always entertaining. Give it a go!
@FingerpostFri A signpost with a finger for #fingerpostfriday from @DurlstonCP in #Dorset (the large globe is awesome btw - weighs the equivalent of 8 elephants!)
@SkySportsNews Adding on time because goal celebrations are getting longer??? Way to pander to the players! Give them a minute then the game kicks off again, ready or not
The two roles I remember best are the cabbie in Sherlock and King John in Robin of Sherwood. One of those “safe hands” actors who you can just sit back and enjoy, knowing it’s going to be good. Happy birthday! 🥳
@OwainWynEvans “The proof is in the pudding” 😡 I wish people were a little more curious about these sayings. This one makes no sense, but the proper saying - “the proof of the pudding is in the eating”
@OwainWynEvans The one that always kinda winds me up is “chomping at the bit” Even predictive text defaults to it! It’s meant to be “champing” - which predictive text doesn’t even recognise! But this is why our language is so rich - it’s constantly evolving
