@solomonmissouri One of my greatest joys as a teacher was playing music the students had never heard. My biggest accomplishment as an educator may be introducing students to Nina Simone.

Happy birthday Pastor and thank you for your ministry in all its forms. Happy to support the Snack Squad!
This is a national emergency, with Red Scare type tactics being used against teachers who speak-up.
Teachers should not have to defend education & democracy alone.
Nor they should not have to comply with book bans initiated by a few, well-funded openly racist & fascist orgs.
@heymrsbond Love this! It accomplishes so many things! Is there an alternative for families who don't have access to email? We have a lot of newcomer families who often don't have services yet.
@DrCIKingdom The biggest challenge I see is many educators, admin, & districts won't acknowledge that the pandemic changed things and are trying to do things the way they've always been done. No one is trying to understand things from the students' perspective.
A survivor of the Sandy Hook School mass shooting in 2012 is a student at Michigan State University: “I am 21-years-old and this is the second mass shooting I’ve lived through. We can no longer allow this to happen. We can no longer be complacent.”
@aspiringpeasant My dad would always spend time with me when I asked him to--play a board game or cards, read a book, help me with school work, just talk.
You don't "hate pronouns." You hate the people who are using them.
If that makes you uncomfortable, good. It should.
You either respect how people are asking you to know and name them, or you don't. But stop pretending it's about language.
