This morning I shared my MSc research project at the OT conference at the University of Salford. It was great to share a topic I am passionate about, and go outside my comfort zone! @GMMH_NHS
Imposter syndrome is very real but comments like this from service users makes all the difference: “I’m rubbish at remembering people’s names, but I remembered yours, because I remember you. I remember the conversations we’ve had and how much you’ve helped me”. Love being an OT💚
Lovely day in York Minster celebrating getting a distinction in MSc Occupational Therapy and being awarded the occupational therapy postgraduate final project prize! I have been a perinatal mental health OT for 9 months and couldn’t be happier 💚 @YSJOT @YorkStJohn
Wonderful morning with staff and service users getting creative with the mindful art of sashiko. All pieces will be apart of a larger collaborative piece within other services to be displayed in an exhibit! #GMMHrecoverypathways@GMMH_NHS@ActionOnPP@agnideepak@jacquigoodchild
Again #OCD awareness week is here and I’m sharing this again to aid understanding of OCD and reduce the stigma around a condition that is so misunderstood!
Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay2023 and is also #OCD awareness week. Like many mental health conditions, OCD is highly trivialised with the term often ‘thrown around’ in conversations.
Even if you only take one thing away from this post, it is a small step in raising awareness!
Incredibly grateful to @Hospital_Rooms for their very generous donation! A BIG thank you to @agnideepak for making this possible for the MBU. Many mums are excited for the included workshops, and we're confident it will be a wonderful boost to their recovery journey @GMMH_NHS
📣 Recruiting Autistic Parents.
Are you an autistic adult parenting a child or children? If yes, your experience would be greatly appreciated! Please see further information below and get in touch if you are interested in participating.
Any share is greatly appreciated! 😊
Maternal or perinatal mental health problems are more common than you might think, impacting at least 1 in 5 mums. But with the right care, it's possible to recover and even thrive!
