On September 30, 1961, Loveland opened for the season after an early-season snowstorm blanketed the mountain—marking the earliest opening day in Loveland Ski Area history!

65 years later, we’re still looking to the skies and getting ready for another winter at Loveland.

🥈 CONGRATULATIONS, ZOE!

We’re proud to announce that Loveland’s Zoe Corigliano finished 2nd in the 2026 Rise Up Challenge, presented by Ski Area Management (SAM) Magazine and Leitner-Poma of America!

This year’s challenge saw a record 6,185 votes cast for six up-and-coming lift mechanics and their teams from across North America.

Zoe’s second-place finish earned Loveland’s Lift Maintenance team a $1,500 education grant to support continued training and development.

A huge thank you to everyone who voted, shared and supported Zoe throughout the challenge. We’re incredibly proud of Zoe for stepping into the spotlight, sharing her story and representing Loveland and our Lift Maintenance team.

Congratulations to Josh Storino and the Mount Snow team on taking the top spot, and to all six mountains for sharing the stories of the people who keep our industry moving.

The highest archery tournament in North America is in the books! 🏹⛰️

Held this weekend at nearly 12,000 feet above sea level, the 2026 Elevation Archery Challenge brought archers from across Colorado and beyond to Loveland Ski Area for a one-of-a-kind weekend of competition, community, and mountain adventure.

The Elevation Archery Challenge proudly benefits @EastersealsCO Rocky Mountain Village, a fully accessible camp that provides life-changing outdoor experiences for children and adults with disabilities.

Originally from Pontiac, Illinois, Mitch Davis brings a big presence—and an even bigger heart—to the slopes at Loveland.

If you’ve been around the base area, you’ve probably seen him—the tall guy in yellow, always ready to help. Whether it’s assisting guests, tracking down lost gear, or keeping things running smoothly, Mitch is all about making sure everyone has a great day on the mountain.

At Loveland, security is more than enforcement—it’s about people. And Mitch is a perfect example of that.
