@PragmatismWins @thetimes You know that's not true. Many many parents make huge sacrifices to send their children to private school. They certainly aren't 'wealthy'. Private schools aren't full of old money, they are full of parents prioritising their children's education.

@JamesMelville Agree this gaslighting really is getting ridiculous. My heating came on during the day more than once in May because the inside temperature had dropped below 15 degrees. We had snow, the winter coats and electric blankets have only just been put away!

@RestIsPolitics Not just phones, I've formally complained to my son's school about the use of ipads. He is 7, they use them every day for just about all lessons and then they get free time to play games! He gets an hour split over the week at home to play on a ipad yet at school it's very day!

@KirstieMAllsopp Not sure I agree with this, my 7yr old was struggling with maths in class. We spoke with the teacher and she took us through what they were doing in class and we did it at home where he could take his time. He just scored in the top 3 in his latest test.

@JasonManford I genuinely think the vibe of the Fringe has changed since I first moved to Edinburgh 22yrs ago and not for the better. Last year I only made it to 3 shows in the whole fringe, 20 yrs ago 8 shows in one day wouldn't been unheard of. Although maybe now it's an age thing? 🤔
