It's important to recognise the different biases that are inherent to being human, but to fail to recognise the importance of system design to eliminate or mitigate their impact is poor. So true. A wise (successful) mentor pointed this out & it blew my mind: by working all hours/too much, you effectively screw it up for all colleagues, esp ppl with caring duties, trying to make progress. In other words, working like a dog not only damages you but other people 🙁
