That you'll never have enough time to learn all the tech, that you'll never get to 'perfect solutions', and that the business will never fully adopt all your recommendations to make things safer. Once you are at peace with those realities, you can focus on making the small steps and improvements anyway, knowing that at the end of the day, you have made things that little bit better.

Today AWS servers went down and so did the government One Login digital ID system
Millions of people were suddenly locked out of vital services just because all authentication now runs through one central system hosted on a single commercial cloud.
Could there be a clearer warning
This is not a theoretical risk.
This is what happens when all access to government services depends on a single provider and a single platform.
One outage and the whole country grinds to a halt
If AWS can crash and take out government logins nationwide.
What happens during a cyberattack?
What happens in a crisis?
What happens when there is just a technical glitch?
We are being told to put our trust our business our legal status and our most sensitive personal information into one digital basket
Today proves just how fragile and risky that model is.
Digital ID is not about convenience or security.
It is about centralising risk and making everyone more vulnerable to outages attacks and bureaucratic mistakes.
It only takes one outage to lock the country out.

Are mainstream media (BBC, ITV, Sky...) exempt from the requirement to "shield under-18s from content deemed harmful to their mental or physical well-being"?
If not, then surely MSM are also obliged to check ages before granting access online to their material on events in the Middle East, war zones, etc.
It's not just about UK protests. Any protests from anywhere around the world might harm under-18 mental well-being, surely?
Calling women in the Midlands🚨
As you might know, I lead @WomenSafety_UK regionally for the midlands and am inviting women to join my team.
I am calling for the women of this country who don’t feel safe going about their day.
I am reaching out to all women frustrated by the second-class treatment we receive, while those who endanger us are prioritised by the government.
Everything that the Women’s Safety Initiative advocates for is in tune with the opinion of the British people.
Mass deportations are a popular sensible centrist policy.
If you’re interested in joining our team or participating in our women’s safety discussions, please send me a message. If you’re from another region, I’d be glad to connect you with one of my trusted friends/colleagues to find the right team for your area.
If you could share and repost this would be ideal, I would love to ensure all women get an opportunity to join our organisation. Whilst I am still a small account I would appreciate all the help I can get.
