Since that time around 4000 people have died by assisted dying about 120 people a year. So the insurance companies are not doing a good job of saving money are they!

@KOBCOB2 @PhilHs10 @AmeliaRocket1 Do you think nurses get their pension for free? Terms and conditions of the NHS changed years ago. I agree playing different professions off against it other isn’t helpful but neither is the argument I produce your food so shouldn’t pay inheritance tax.

@PhilHs10 @AmeliaRocket1 @KOBCOB2 A nurse who inherits a parents home worth more that £325000 will pay more inheritance tax than a child of farmer … 20% more and they have 9.5 years less to pay it. Also the farmer’s child has a much higher threshold before inheritance tax is paid.

@_imey @JohnLewisEU I am a nurse I provide care to the people of the UK should I not pay Inheritance Tax? How about Drs, Teachers, members of the armed forces? If you believe social media you would think every farmer is effected but independent sources estimate very few will be.

@Rod__Mason @lordegg @Keir_Starmer @vonderleyen Not true The Dublin Regulations allows one EU country to require another to accept responsibility for a person who has claimed asylum when specific conditions apply. The intention is that as asylum seekers are then shared more evenly between EU countries.

@kevinhollinrake Yes I do! When I and my colleagues were working through the pandemic watching people die without love ones to comfort them while your chums had parties. Let’s put it into context they shouldn’t of done it lesson learned move on. People in glass houses and all that !!

@RichardJMurphy I am NHS worker I didn’t hear Starmer blame me for the state NHS. I heard Starmer say the NHS needs massive reform before more money can be committed. The changes made by the previous government especially around who holds budgets has been disastrous #NHS

@markjenk Since 2010 the average pay of a nurse has fallen by 8.8%. Less people are applying to nursing degree courses. We are filling the gaps with nurses from abroad. If the previous government had paid public sector workers properly 9.8 billion wouldn’t have to be paid out now.
